When we created Red Hen Popcorn, we wanted to ensure our business and our mission aligned with one key concept –
healthy eating. That is why we use only organic, non-gmo, Canadian corn grown by actual Canadian family farms.
All of our toppings are made of simple ingredients that can be easily pronounced!
We believe that popcorn does not have to be coated in candy and dye to taste amazing; in fact,
the flavor of the high quality corn should actually compliment the toppings.
Popcorn is supposed to be healthy and we intend to keep it that way.
Our Story
Hi! We are Ryan and Amie, a husband and wife team with a passion for creativity, small business and tasty snacks. Creating new things are what make us get up in the morning and we believe that our Red Hen Popcorn creations are the most unique and delicious popcorn you can find!
What started out as a fun way to punch up a favorite snack with our friends and family has turned into a true passion that we can’t stop thinking about!
Our Process…
Our process is pretty simple really, we think about flavor combinations – like constantly – and then we figure out how to create them with the least amount of ingredients as possible.
This leads to the best part – taste testing! We taste, our kids taste, our family, friends – pretty much anyone we know tastes – then we hone our combinations into a final flavor profile.
Once we’ve nailed it, we meticulously measure and record the seasoning recipe so that we can deliver consistent awesomeness in every bag of popcorn!
